J'adore la maquillage!

I have a love affair with makeup (more into why later), and since it seems to be the french that have created some of my all time favorite products I felt it was only fair to honor them in my title. I also love sharing things that I find and fall for with others, so I decided it was time to start sharing some of my favorite products and techniques. My credibility is that I buy way too much makeup, so I have tested a fairly broad range of products from drug store brands to those used by professions; and because I have some art training, I really enjoy applying those products to myself and friends. So as you can tell, not professionally trained, but I hope my hints will be of some use to y'all. At the very least, you can be sure that the only products I recommend will be those that I have personally tried, and love.

Today is my first product recommendation: i.d. bareMinerals Foundation

Foundation, is of course, the building block of a beautiful face. I have gotten compliments on my flawless, glowing skin from the most random of people, and I promise you my bare naked face would not fit that description (thank you, rosacea). So here is my secret...bareMinerals foundation feels velvety smooth upon application, and blends perfectly with your skin tone--no mask-like line along the jaw bone! It also contains a mineral with light-reflecting pigments to give skin radiance. The only drawback: it doesn't last as long as some liquid foundations, so applying primer underneath is essential if you want it to last into the evening (foreshadowing next week's recommendation perhaps?).
